If you’re following our YouTube channel, you know we have been talking about the benefits of lab grown diamonds and how you can get a bigger diamond for your budget. What I want to talk about this week is the benefit of the cut of a diamond. In particular, the cut of a lab grown diamond.
What is cut? Many people would think shape; however, cut does not mean the shape of the diamond. GIA, the Gemological Institute of America, defines diamond cut as “Perhaps the most crucial of the 4Cs. Cut does not refer to a diamond’s shape, but rather to the quality of workmanship (proportion and arrangement of facets) for round brilliant diamonds.* The quality of a diamond’s cut determines the amount of brilliance, sparkle and fire that a diamond shows. Grades range from ‘Excellent’ to ‘Poor.’
Why is this so important? Because the cut, directly and significantly affects the sparkle and brilliance of your diamond. It’s the factor that gives your diamond the sparkle and fire you enjoy.
What benefit is this for you, the buyer? The benefit is that it gives you a diamond that inhales light and exhales fire. And because lab grown diamonds are grown in a lab and the process can be produced less expensively that diamonds that are mined, we can cut every lab grown diamond to excellent proportions, giving you the most beautiful diamond. I know that’s what I want in a diamond! And isn’t that what we all want? Something beautiful?
Stop in the store and let us show you what makes a lab grown diamond so special.
